Press Release: “Lean In” Generation Goes to Tuscany for Self-Exploration.

In the best-seller, Lean In, Sheryl Sandberg encouraged women to say yes–to standing up for themselves, to supporting each other, and to leading. Inspired by her story, women around the world want to know how they, too, can live powerful lives.

From personal coaching to hot yoga to energy work, women are embarking on serious self-exploration in a variety of ways. Many women are also combining travel, an age-old tool for self-discovery, with community and workshops to get down and dirty with the fears that are holding them back.

During the Fearless Living Retreat in Tuscany, women will explore their fears through their bodies and set the groundwork to “lean in” in all areas of their lives. In seven days, through writing, yoga and meditation, women will delve into the seven chakras of their bodies and stretch themselves in new ways–physically and emotionally. Participants range in age, hometown and knowledge of the chakra system, but they all have come together for one reason: to unleash their capacity to live powerfully.

“Today more and more women understand that taking care of ourselves is not just about eating well and going to the gym,” said Jaclyn Mishal, Co-Founder of Pink Pangea, the community for women who loves to travel. “It’s about looking at every area of our lives, including the things that are hardest. We’re no longer digging our heads in the sand. We’re confronting the uncomfortable parts of ourselves and embracing our growth.”

The retreat’s facilitators are Talia Sutra, New York-based yoga teacher, and Jaclyn Mishal.

Talia is known for her creative vinyasa sequences, crystal clear cues and awe-inspiring practices on and off the mat. She has a huge online presence with more than 112,000 followers on Instagram alone and has been featured in publications that include Esquire, Vanity Fair, and The Wall Street Journal. Through practice, Talia teaches that individuals can transform their personal narratives into stories of love and self-realization.

Jaclyn is a writing teacher and an inspirational public speaker whose speciality is guiding people to express themselves fully. Her creative guided writing activities help even the most seasoned writers break out of their habits and expand their abilities. Jaclyn has led writing and Fearless Living workshops internationally in partnership with colleges and companies, including Barnard College, Mount Holyoke College, REI, and Hostelling International. According to Jaclyn, writing enables us to access parts of ourselves that we may have trouble expressing otherwise.

“I had been struggling to write about certain fears that have recently entered my life, but the support and encouragement I received when prompted to put the words on the page allowed me to write honestly about my fears for the first time,” said Ariela Rossberg, a Fearless Living workshop participant.

The Fearless Living Retreat will take place in Tuscany from June 6-13 on an 800-year-old villa located on an organic farm. A multifaceted nourishing experience, the retreat also includes day trips throughout Tuscany, as well as fresh meals with produce grown on the farm.
